Online gambling will hold significant importance at the Global Gaming Expo this year. The growing importance of online gambling can be witnessed in Shuffle Master Inc's trade show booth. The latest division of the company is Shuffle Interactive. It is in the process of creating online versions of some of the table games offered by Shuffle Master like Three Card Poker and Ultimate Texas Hold’em. Initiatives for formulating the internet versions of the games have been undertaken, so that these can be incorporated in websites operating outside the United States.
Games to Be Offered by Shuffle Master for American Players
American players will be able to access table games created by Shuffle Master. Players can download applications for games like online roulette and play via interactive platforms such as smartphones and tablets. Gavin Isaacs, the CEO of Shuffle Master, stated that through interactive gaming, the company aims at creating brand awareness of the games offered.
As of now, the company expects that table games and other products from the portfolio of Shuffle Master can be accessed by US players through its websites dedicated to internet gambling.
Internet Gambling – the Prime Focus of G2E
The Global Gaming Expo will take place this year at Sands Expo and Convention Centre. With the potential to be approved by federal laws, online gambling is likely to be in the limelight at G2E. The convention, which takes place annually, is the largest trade show and meeting of the online gambling industry.
A lobbying arm, based in Washington D.C, requested the American Gaming Association to regulate and legalize online poker as early as possible. This is important for protecting the interest of American players.
The American Gaming Association, which produces G2E, claimed that online poker is set to get a lot of exposure in the show. About half the space allotted to trade shows by those in the European gambling industry, has been given to online gambling, according to the president of the American Gaming Association.
Organizations like the one owned by Fahrenkopf had spoken against online gaming last year. However, this year Fahrenkopf is of the view that the field in question is growing and creating a lot of interest. When it came to his opinion on online poker, Fahrenkopf took a neutral stance.
In a recent report published by the American Gaming Association, it stated that it has enough to regulate internet gambling in terms of technology. Among 440 exhibitors participating in the trade shows of G2E, many have dedicated a part of their exhibits to online gambling. Quite a few breakout sessions focusing on online gambling, are set aside by G2E.
Congress Intentions
Congress's moves with regard to the legalizing of online gambling are yet to be decided. As predicted by a few in the industry, the issue will be addressed when a discussion on legislations pertaining to revenue generation initiates. Fahrenkopf states the examples of several nations which have legalized online gambling, saying that the countries are successfully regulating the field. States like New Jersey and Nevada also have encouraging histories pertaining to online gambling regulations.
